EXPLORING SYDNEY'S
BEST KEPT SECRET
 |
For
magnificent views, walk to Barrenjoey Lighthouse. From the Palm
Beach wharf, catch a ferry to Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park,
the Hawkesbury River, or to the Central Coast for a day at the
markets. For the more adventurous, hire a kayak, motor boat
or wind surfer and sail the magnificent waterways of Pittwater,
exploring the many remote inlets, perfect for calm swimming.
The scenic cliff bushwalk to Bangalley Headland starts at the
end of Marine Parade, where you will discover dramatic coastline
views.

IT'S EASY TO
GET IMMERSED IN THE AVALON WAY OF LIFE
|
Avalon
is a thriving village with bundles of charm. Just a short walk
away, via a footpath behind the sand dunes, the village features
multicultural restaurants, as RSL Club, boutiques, craft shops,
banks, a Post office, Internet Business Centre, travel agents,
medical centres and a super market. Sporting activities include
a 9-hole golf course, tennis courts and lawn bowls.
Soak
up the sun on the beach; enjoy a swim in the ocean pool with
the friendly locals; catch a wave... or a fish! Take in a movie
at the local cinema or let the aroma of a cappuccino entice
you into one of the many cafes. A pleasant 15 minute walk will
take you from the surf to Pittwater's yacht-strewn foreshores.
So much to do, you'll need weeks to enjoy it all.
Sydney
is just a 70 minute bus ride away. By car 40 minutes (non-peak),
by sea plane only 15 minutes, (don't forget the camera). A shuttle
bus operates to and from the airport: Travel time is between
70 to 90 minutes, depending on the time of day.
